Tour de Palm Springs
For the last 3 years we have been going to Palm Springs to participate in the annual Tour de Palm Springs charity ride. Which charities they give to? I dont know, maybe TBD (Arrested Development fans will get that) but we love going and riding in the event. This year we had more family join us which made it all the better. Jim, Lynette, Seth, Ethan, Kent and Lonnie.
We all signed up for the 10 mile ride, most of us made it, however those of us towing kids had to stop at 8 miles, the kids were worn out and done. Derek's auntie Dancette says 25 miles next year. I'm game, I think it would be fun, but not with a Sammy in tow. We'll see. Here are some fun pics from the race.
Our family at a SAG stop. Is it still exercising when you stop at every SAG for free drinks and treats? Sure, why not!
Lynette and Ethan. He rode on a seat on the front of her bike. Seth rode his own bike 8 miles. What an awesome kid!
Sam in the trailer. He sucked his thumb, twirled his hair and ate Peanut M&M's the whole time while I pulled him 8 miles.
Harrison's new bike attachment. His bike attached to Ben's bike and he rode 8 miles like that. He loved it.
William worked really hard this year training for this event and we are so proud of him. He biked 0 miles but has put a lot of miles sitting in his stroller watching everyone. Its hard work. William got to spend the time with grandma, as you can see he was just fine.
I wish I had more pictures of our great weekend. We got to eat out, which was fun, stay at a hotel and visit with everyone. The kids got to swim in the pool, jump in the jacuzzi and splash other guests we didnt know. We got to have KHS fix Ben's flat tire right before the race started, listed to the Palm Springs High School Marching Band and stay up all night, both nights with William because he doesnt like to sleep anywhere else put in his crib. No sleep, kids running around, wierd food, and family? Sounds like a great vacation to me!

Happy 5th Birthday Harrison!
Grandma Rosemary took Harrison and Sam to lunch
Then they went to Build A Bear, Harrison made a Superman monkey he named Skyscraper
Sam made a policeman bear named Squeekie.
Yes, I do think my son is flashing gang signs. Do you? By the way, thanks for the sunglasses Aunt Mari, he wears them EVERYWHERE! Sam, would you like to take off your sunglasses? NO! They are special to me!Harrison had a fun day, he is such a love and we cant believe he is 5 years old! Happy Birthday Harry Bear!
It's Spiderman!
Harrison got some 3-D Spiderman glasses in a birthday card this last week. He taped the glasses to his forehead and ran around the house posing as Spiderman.
Be afraid, be very afraid!
Be afraid, be very afraid!
Sunday Afternoons
Sunday afternoons everyone has been getting in a really nice, long nap
As you can see the house is quiet and everyone is asleep
Except for William and mommy! William thinks its party time with mommy, nap schnap. Who needs them?

2009 Here We Come
Sammy Miami, what can we say about Sammy Miami? TONS! Sam turns 4 in two weeks and is busy, busy, busy. The other day he filled up the whole van with all of his toys, blankets, pillows, snacks, etc. He told us he was going to a party but we were not invited. He then showed me where I would be sitting while I drove him to this exclusive party. He didnt know where the party was exactly but lots of fun, loud people would be there. I then realized he was packing the car for a trip to Utah to see his cousins. When I asked him to unpack the car he said "No, sorry mom, I only pack the car. Unpacking the car is too much work." Sam spends his day pushing Harrison's buttons, pretending he is a doggie, a dinosaur or a robot, plays most of the day with his Lightning McQueen, Mater, robots and sucking his thumb. When asked what his favorite thing to do is, he replied "take a nap!" We spend most days taking a walk in our neighborhood. Sam likes to ride his tricycle and his little short legs pushing the pedals is hilarious. You are a cutie Sam and make us laugh everyday. We love you!
Yum Yum! William is 7 months now! Where has the time gone? He loves to play with his chewie toys, watch his brothers play and be loud and is in the process of learning to crawl. Jumping is no longer his favorite thing to do, however every now and again he does enjoying getting a quick jump in. Just dont look at him or make a big fuss while he's doing it. William is sitting up and spending a lot of time on his belly, he has figured out how to move around by kicking his legs like a frog. He is such a joy and his favorite is still mommy, but watch out he does get excited and slimes you if you are holding him. He thinks he's giving kisses. What a love William is and everyone loves being around him, especially his brothers, they cant leave him alone. You are loved William!
Ben and I are doing wonderful. Ben is the Secretary in the YM's and loves it. He comes home every Sunday and Wednesday with funny stories about the kids. Ben has been promoted at work and is enjoying his new role. He is also still tutoring once a week and loves that. If anyone needs an awesome Math tutor, I know one! I am home with the kids and enjoying it. I am not taking on anything extra right now other than preschool, everything else just takes my time away from my little guys. Ben and I wrote the Roadshow for our ward this year and are helping with that. I got to help choreograph the dance routines and am helping keep the kids in line. Ha ha ha, the kids are hilarious! Next week we are headed to Palm Springs for our annual 10 mile bike ride, should be a blast!I will do my best to continue to update during 2009. Happy 2009 everyone!
Funnies thing ever!
