2009 Here We Come

We tried to get nice pictures, how do other people do it? Aka, Adam and Juliet?

Harrison turns 5 today! Ahhhh! He started CTR 5 in Primary this year and is loving it. I am homeschooling him right now for Preschool, I realized these next few months were my last few of having him home every day and I didnt want to waste the time with him. We have a structred preschool ciriculum we follow 2 days a week and a fun free day 1 day a week. Its a blast and I love watching him learn. Harrison's favorite things to do right now are: play with his Lego's, build and play with William. This is what he told me when I asked him and I have to agree. Harrison loves to ride his scooter and watching him play with Lego's is mind boggling. How can a 5 year old figure all that out on his own. Harrison is my huge helper and I am so grateful for him. I love Harrison so much and am so glad I am his mommy. What a neat kid Harrison is. Happy Birthday love!
Sammy Miami, what can we say about Sammy Miami? TONS! Sam turns 4 in two weeks and is busy, busy, busy. The other day he filled up the whole van with all of his toys, blankets, pillows, snacks, etc. He told us he was going to a party but we were not invited. He then showed me where I would be sitting while I drove him to this exclusive party. He didnt know where the party was exactly but lots of fun, loud people would be there. I then realized he was packing the car for a trip to Utah to see his cousins. When I asked him to unpack the car he said "No, sorry mom, I only pack the car. Unpacking the car is too much work." Sam spends his day pushing Harrison's buttons, pretending he is a doggie, a dinosaur or a robot, plays most of the day with his Lightning McQueen, Mater, robots and sucking his thumb. When asked what his favorite thing to do is, he replied "take a nap!" We spend most days taking a walk in our neighborhood. Sam likes to ride his tricycle and his little short legs pushing the pedals is hilarious. You are a cutie Sam and make us laugh everyday. We love you!

Yum Yum! William is 7 months now! Where has the time gone? He loves to play with his chewie toys, watch his brothers play and be loud and is in the process of learning to crawl. Jumping is no longer his favorite thing to do, however every now and again he does enjoying getting a quick jump in. Just dont look at him or make a big fuss while he's doing it. William is sitting up and spending a lot of time on his belly, he has figured out how to move around by kicking his legs like a frog. He is such a joy and his favorite is still mommy, but watch out he does get excited and slimes you if you are holding him. He thinks he's giving kisses. What a love William is and everyone loves being around him, especially his brothers, they cant leave him alone. You are loved William!
Ben and I are doing wonderful. Ben is the Secretary in the YM's and loves it. He comes home every Sunday and Wednesday with funny stories about the kids. Ben has been promoted at work and is enjoying his new role. He is also still tutoring once a week and loves that. If anyone needs an awesome Math tutor, I know one! I am home with the kids and enjoying it. I am not taking on anything extra right now other than preschool, everything else just takes my time away from my little guys. Ben and I wrote the Roadshow for our ward this year and are helping with that. I got to help choreograph the dance routines and am helping keep the kids in line. Ha ha ha, the kids are hilarious! Next week we are headed to Palm Springs for our annual 10 mile bike ride, should be a blast!

I will do my best to continue to update during 2009. Happy 2009 everyone!

Funnies thing ever!

The boys put this green ring on Williams head and they laugh and laugh and laugh. They think its the funniest thing that ever possibly happen. Luckily William doesnt mind, he just makes this sweet face every time they do it.

Crazy Week

I wish I had pictures to post but I lost the charger to my camera, so today I am going to search for it. We have had a crazy week and I thought I would share.

Sunday was Stake Conference, Elder Condie came to see us and it was excellent. What a sense of humor he has. He talked about families, being kind, giving service, giving one another the benefit of the doubt. We made it through all two hours with the kids. Its was amazing. The last 15 minutes we were all standing on the sidelines in the cultural hall and the kids were whinning to go home but we made it to the closing prayer. After that I took William and Sam to the foyer and Harrison, Ben and my dad put chairs away. Harrison was a crack up, he's push the back of the legs with one foot to close the chair and then carry it over to the pile. He put away close to 30 or 40 chairs. He was so proud of himself and I was too! What a wondeful boy.

Monday I had a root canal. I'm fine, it was no big deal, but still.

Tuesday William woke up with a rash that covered his entire body. I took him to the Doctor, they did blood tests to check for allergies, he has ZERO allergies, and switched his formula to soy. Its made a difference and so has Aveeno.

Wednesday my friend Melissa called me, she has 2 little kids and had the stomach flu. Her husband was on business in AZ and her family lives in Virginia. I took Patricia for the day and another friend took Shamus. Patricia had a blast here all day. When it was time to take her home Wednesday night she didnt want to go. She played with William all day, sang him songs, played with the boys, bossed them around and told them "there are no toys at the table" during lunch time. You go Patricia! We had fun having her and we were exhausted.

Thursday Ben got sick with the sinus infection/migrane cold that's been going around. I took the kids to the mall to play, had lunch and then made dinner for the missionaries. Sent everyone to bed and was up 4 times last night with different kids with different ailments.

Friday, its 11:20 and we are still in our pajama's. I think we are going to stay that way all day. I'm too tired to change. I told the boys it was movie day and they are thrilled. Its cold and rainy outside so what great weather for today.

I hope everyone had a fun week!

Merry Christmas

Three cute boys who wouldnt sit still for a picture =)

We had a wonderful Christmas spending time with our families. The Saturday before Christmas we went to Aunt Fran and Uncle Tom's house in Hemet and enjoyed a wonderful day with cousins, Aunts and Uncles. Christmas Eve we spent with Dad, Ilene, Aunt Donna and Uncle David, Cameron, Emily, Arlo and Jack, we had a fun evening and it was wonderful to see everyone. Christmas Day we woke up at Grandma Rosemary's and Grandpa Kent's. We took our time opening presents and then had breakfast. We spent the rest of the day relaxing, playing games and having fun. It was great.
Sam got transformers and a Mack truck with Lightning McQueen and Mr. The King inside. Sam alson got an Imaginext robot dinosaur that he has been obsessing about for 2 months. We brought it out of the box, he screamed and hid. We turned it on and he freaked out. We brought it home and he put it in "time out" in Ben's closet and then spent the next week telling us to be quiet or we will wake up the dinosaur. The Monday after Christmas it went back to Target. He keeps asking me if its at Target, I say yes and then he informs me that it doesnt belong in our house.
Cutest baby ever, got a ball popper machine and some chewie toys for teething. He is in heaven!

Harrison got a Lego set. He wanted a Lego City that you put together. It came with a Mack truck, 6 cars, a gas station, car wash, auto repair and a few other items. Grandma and Grandpa got him a Lego helicopter with a buoy and a speed boat. Keep in mind all of this had to be put together, poor Ben; however he loved every minute of it and so did Harrison.
The boys and I painted Ben a popcorn bowl, how did I manage three kids on a rainy day to go to the paint your own pottery store, finish the project in 30 minutes and not loose my mind? Emily Krahn, our wonderful friend down the street who likes to come over and help me with the kids, she is amazing! Thanks Emily! Ben makes popcorn about once a week for the kids so we had to make him a bowl and get him some gormet popcorn kernels.

Ben and the boys bought me tons of bath stuff. Ben said every bath item that was pink the boys would say "this is for girls" and throw it into the cart. Ben bought me a beautiful white pasta bowl and a Giada de Laurentis cookbook, "Family Dinners", my favorite. My mom got me one too, "Giada's Kitchen" and it was signed!

Jim, Lynette, Seth and Ethan came up for a few days after Christmas and we had a lot of fun. The boys got Razor scooters from Grandma and Grandpa so we attempted a bike ride.
We didnt get a Christmas card our this year, we honestly were having too much fun. We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year.
Love, The Ellsworth's
