William's Favorite Toy, the Jolly Jump
William's favorite toy is his Jolly Jump. It hangs from the doorway and he bounces around inside it. He spends 30-40 minutes at a time there and is so happy. Some days, that's all he wants to do. Eat, sleep, poop and jolly jump. This morning I was making the boys french toast and I put William in his jolly jump. He was laughing, bouncing around, turning around and then I didnt hear anything. I looked over and he has fallen asleep. Too much jumping makes William a tired boy.
Calabasas Pumpkin Festival
Two scary scarecrows
Saturday we went to the Calabasas Pumpkin Festival with grandma and grandpa. We had a time great looking at the street vendors goodies, listening to the Eagle cover band, "The Long Run", eating, playing carnival games and enjoying the nice weather.

We had so much fun and decided we would come back next year. We usually go to Underwood Family Farms, which is great, but they charge $10.00 a person to get in and you still have to pay to do things. This was much less stressful for a growing family!
William is 3 months!
William turned 3 months old a few weeks ago. Up above are our favorite pictures of him in the last 3 months.
William is a sweet baby and we all love being around him, he has brought so much happiness and joy to our home. We love you, William!
Comments I hear daily from Sam and Harrison
"You are holding him wrong"
"He doesnt want his pacifier, yes he does!"
"I want to take my nap with baby William"
"William is sooooooo cute, I love him"
"William is my baby, not yours, ok mommy"
Things we love most about William
His squishy body

Sweet and soft
His little patch of hair on his head
Curls in the back of his head, just a few.....
His chubby chin
EVERYTHING!!!!

Halloween Cookies

One of our family traditions is to make Halloween cookies. Sugar cookies with cream cheese frosting, spending time with the kids and creating happy family memories, its a lot of fun. This year Harrison was the master baker. He knew right away how to use the rolling pin, cut out the shapes, put them on the baking sheet and frost the cookies. We didnt get too many cookies frosted for presentation, the kids frosted and then quickly ate. Sam's favorite cookie cutter was the ghost and Harrison liked the cat and the pumpkin.
William had dinner and hung out in dad's arms while his brothers were being silly.
Just you wait boys....next year William will be at the table smooshing dough.

Big Brown Toe?
Sam got to say the prayer at dinner tonight. Its usually pretty funny because his prayers are a good 5 minutes long, no joke, he lists everything he is thinking about and sees in the room and usually has us all laughing. Tonight was no different.
"Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the food, bless that Harrison will be Batman for Halloween, that mommy will be a BIG BROWN TOE, bless that I will be a skeleton pirate and that Matthew will be something that will fly, Amen"
A BIG BROWN TOE?! Why do I get that one, what about daddy?
I dont know which cousin Matthew he is talking about, Kimee's Matthew or Sara's, but one of them is supposed to be something that fly's.
Happy Halloween!
Update 10/22
Tonight Sam got to say the prayer again at dinner. This time he gave daddy a Halloween costume..."Please bless that daddy will be a chicken for Halloween, please bless that mommy will be Buzz Lightyear for Halloween......." Where does this kid get his ideas?

Neil Diamond and a Variety Show!
Thursday Jim and I went to see Neil Diamond at the Hollywood Bowl. It was awesome! Neil sang for 2 1/2 hours without any intermission or opening act, pretty awesome for 67 years old. We had a blast!
Jim and Lynette stayed the weekend and Friday the kids went to Target to each pick out a toy. Seth got a magic set, Harrison got a red car, Sam a pirate outfit, Ethan some Thomas sand toys and William got a Halloween outfit that
has a mummy on it that says "I Love Mummy"

Friday night we had a magic show by Seth. Harrison was his lovely assistant. Seth demonstrated how to twist your arm 360 degrees inside a cardboard box. It was pretty crazy, we were all amazed and in shock, he walked away without any damage to his arm! Unbelievable!

Sam then put on a interpretative pirate dance for us. It also was very up and coming.
He swished and swooshed his sword and pirate hook in the air and we all cried out for more.
William slept through the show, however the next day he was awake and was ready for an encore!
William's Blessing
Saturday after the second session of General Conference, we blessed William at home, it was so nice and so relaxed.
We had a small group of family and the spirit was so sweet in our home. William is a love and we are all so thrilled to have him here.
William's blessing mentioned these points:
Special to us and brought happiness and joy
He will always be able to see the positive and be a comfort to those around him
Wisdom to help people
Desire to serve others
Be able to recognize the spirit and know what the Lord would have him do.
Ethan, Harrison, William, Sam and Seth
We had an opening song "I Am A Child Of God" which Uncle David helped lead, an opening prayer by Grandpa Tom and then the blessing. We then had a closing song "Families Can Be Together Forever" and then a closing prayer by Granpa Kent. Uncle Jim, Aunt Lynette, Seth and Ethan, Grandma and Grandpa Pollock, Grandma and Grandpa Ellsworth, Uncle David, Aunt Julie, Uncle Derek and Lauren were there. It was so nice and sweet for everyone to come and spend the afternoon with us.
